A major connector in Kingston’s road system takes the number one spot. Albany Avenue is well-traveled as a connection to the Thruway, to Broadway and its traffic circle, and for city residents to get to the Town of Ulster.

2. Broadway (17,045 Vehicles a Day)

The main artery of Midtown Kingston that connects the city’s three major districts. It’s also home to a two-way bike lane.

3. Washington Avenue (14,493 Vehicles a Day)

Our office is located on the corner of Washington Avenue and North Front Street in Kingston. It’s a major thoroughfare that can experience high traffic at rush hour, with people entering and exiting the Thruway and Route 28.

4. Clinton Avenue (11,804 Vehicles a Day)

A key connector in Kingston that mainly serves local traffic. The stretch of Clinton Avenue between North Front Street and Albany Avenue is responsible for most of these vehicles.

5. Schwenk Drive (11,804 Vehicles a Day)

Schwenk Drive leads directly to the Kingston Plaza, where many residents shop at Hannaford or go to MAC Fitness.

6. Foxhall Avenue (9,609 Vehicles a Day)

Foxhall can be a dangerous corridor as it crosses over the CSX train lines. Recently, it was announced that $3M was earmarked by the federal government to remake the intersection of Foxhall Avenue with the train line.

7. Delaware Avenue (9,363 Vehicles a Day)

The first Downtown Kingston road on the list, Delaware Avenue runs along the Western side of the city and provides access to industrial, residential and recreational areas.

8. Boulevard (9,068 Vehicles a Day)

Boulevard connects Kingston to its neighbors to the south like Rosendale and New Paltz.

9. Greenkill Avenue (7,937 Vehicles a Day)

Greenkill Avenue is an important road in Midtown Kingston that also features a section of the Empire State bike trail.

10. Hasbrouck Avenue (6,956 Vehicles a Day)

Hasbrouck connects another one of the city’s busiest roads, Delaware Avenue, to Midtown Kingston, and is home to Kingston’s Hasbrouck Park, which opened in 1920.

11. Lucas Avenue (6,656 Vehicles a Day)

Lucas Avenue is adjacent to Dietz Stadium and home to Forsyth Nature Center in Kingston.

12. North Front Street (6,319 Vehicles a Day)

Our home street, North Front Street is part of the core of Uptown Kingston.

13. Flatbush Avenue (6,308 Vehicles a Day)

Flatbush Avenue crosses over the CSX train tracks and is an important connector from the Town of Ulster and the Route 9W area to Midtown Kingston.

14. Garraghan Drive (6,284 Vehicles a Day)

Garraghan Drive is home to Spring Brook Village, a senior living community, and the Kingston Police Department.

15. Cornell Street (5,862 Vehicles a Day)

Cornell Street is home to the Lace Mill, the Kingston Post Office, and is part of the core of Kingston’s Midtown Arts District.
