Associate Margot Marie Hanstein at M&M, P.C.
Margot earned her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Political Science from the University of Vermont. She then attended Albany Law School where she was selected to serve as a Contracts Teaching Assistant and as Lead Articles Editor of the Albany Law School Journal of Science & Technology.
After graduating cum laude from Albany Law in 2014, Margot began her legal career at the Ulster County District Attorney’s Office where she worked as an Assistant District Attorney for over six years. In 2018, Margot was promoted to Bureau Chief of the felony Driving While Intoxicated Unit and served in this position for nearly two years.
Margot later joined the Ulster County Public Defender’s office where she worked as a Senior Assistant Public Defender for three years. Throughout this tenure, Margot defended clients charged with the most serious levels of crime including homicide, arson and sexual assault; a number of which resulted in acquittals following jury trial.
As an associate with Mainetti & Mainetti, Margot relies upon her extensive litigation experience and dedication to helping others to provide the highest quality of legal representation to all of her clients.
